Join our night of Tech Talks in Bristol
We’ll soon be opening our doors once again to passionate technologists for another evening of Tech Talks in Bristol.
The free event, to be held at our King Street office from 6pm on Wednesday, March 8th, will see one of our newest coders speak on the topic of streaming Big Data, touching on the technologies Kafka and Spark, with a brief look at future possibilities with Apache Flink.
The evening, featuring the talk by Lead Developer Dan Cook, will be hosted by our Head of Development in Bristol, Nic Hemley. Nic will also introduce attendees to the types of project that are undertaken at Scott Logic, before networking over refreshments.
He said: “I am really pleased to be opening our doors once again after the success of our previous Tech Talk. Dan, who joined us in December last year, will be giving us a sneak preview of his forthcoming VoxxedDays talk on some of the latest technologies in streaming Big Data. To complement this, I’ll be touching on the current crop of projects that we’re running out of the Bristol office.”
Attendees will also be able to enjoy our interactive virtual stock trading game, Dead Cat Bounce, for the chance to win a £50 Amazon voucher (T&Cs apply).
