NEX Optimisation Website Launch

…thank you to the Scott Logic team for their hard work, guidance and patience

NEX have recently announced the launch of the NEX Optimisation website which provides an interactive and consolidated view of all of its services. Built in collaboration with Scott Logic, the website allows clients to explore the wide variety of services on offer via an innovative and eye-catching infinity-loop concept.

The multi-disciplinary Scott Logic team includes UX Design, Project Management, Test and Development, bringing with them a wide-range of technical expertise and domain knowledge. Working with the newly created NEX Brand Guidelines, our design team created a range of design ideas for the NEX Optimisation website. From discussions with NEX, it was clear that they wanted something quite radical and unique! After a few further iterations and prototypes, we settled on the interactive infinity-loop concept, a playful take on their core technology infrastructure NEX Infinity brand.

A mobile version of the website was also designed, providing access to the same information, with a simpler navigation structure.

Scott Feldman, VP, Strategic Projects, NEX, said: “…thank you to the Scott Logic team for their hard work, guidance and patience (especially patience). We know we didn’t make it easy, but we have reached this milestone and have built an exciting gateway into the NEX Optimisation suite of services.”

The implementation used a range of technologies; we created a Living Styleguide that ensured a consistent look and feel across the various NEX projects we are engaged in, the site itself used WordPress with a custom data-model that allows easy maintenance by the numerous service-owners, and we also put in place continuous deployment using Docker and Amazon Web Services.

Colin Eberhardt, Scott Logic’s Technology Director, added: “The Scott Logic team enjoyed the chance to work on this unique and challenging project, bringing our ideas, experience and own innovations into the mix.”

Scott Logic are still actively engaged in building the interface for NEX Infinity, the central hub for the distributed ledger and Optimisation services. This ambitious project is leading the transformation of market structure, offering a portfolio of cloud-hosted services across the transaction lifecycle. Based on a novel distributed ledger technology, it simplifies client workflow and helps them optimise their resources.
