Our cyber security given Government seal of approval

We have been certified under a Government scheme for the robustness of our cyber security measures.

This certification, the Cyber Essentials Plus security standard, identifies the controls an organisation must have within its IT systems to ensure confidence in their security, including:

  • boundary firewalls and internet gateways
  • secure configuration
  • user access control
  • malware protection, and
  • patch management.

To achieve Cyber Essentials Plus status, which is the more thorough assessment within the Government’s two-step certification process and offers a greater level of assurance against threats, Scott Logic’s systems were tested by an external certifying body.

Since October 2014, Cyber Essentials has been mandatory for suppliers of Government contracts which involve handling personal information and providing some ICT products and services. And this latest certification comes after our listing as an approved supplier on the Government’s new Digital Outcomes and Specialists Framework (DOS) 2, signalling our commitment to the continuing development of our public sector practice.

General Manager Nigel Wilson said: “As a technology consultancy, it stands to reason that we take cyber security seriously, and it’s fantastic to have this officially recognised under the Cyber Essentials scheme.

“This is another step demonstrating our delivery of the highest quality software consultancy to meet the accelerating need to digitise the public sector, helping us really make our mark in this area.”
