Service Support Engineer

The role

We’re looking for a Service Support Engineer to spearhead the creation of a service support team which will operate and support varying and challenging client systems… is that you?

Scott Logic builds large-scale, bespoke, business-critical systems for some of the world’s most high-profile organisations. Increasingly, our clients are looking to us to operate, maintain and continually improve the systems we build for them. They want us to bring the same focus on customer needs and high quality of service that they have come to expect of us. We’re growing our Service Management function on these foundations of excellence, and this role will play an important part in that.

To be suitable for this role, you’ll be an experienced support engineer with hands-on experience investigating and solving issues. You will be a critical thinker and will be looking for an exciting and challenging role in a thought-leading UK-based software consultancy that prides itself on delivering the best in bespoke operations and software services to a varied portfolio of global clients.

We will recognise your experience and fundamental skills and we will support you with your journey to becoming a pivotal member of our Service Management team.

  • problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new situations
  • experience of supporting well-structured and maintainable applications
  • experience of communicating your ideas to your teams
  • an appetite to learn new technologies and approaches

This role is based in our city-centre office, and likely involves occasional travel (infrequent day trips or a few days at a time) to visit our clients across the UK.
