Scott Logic leading the way on AI Governance Framework and Camunda alternative

22 October 2025

An important update to the AI Governance Framework was announced yesterday at the FINOS Open Source in Finance Forum NYC.

Led by Scott Logic CTO, Colin Eberhardt, the framework initiative provides a comprehensive collection of risks and mitigations that support the onboarding, development and running of open-source Generative AI solutions by financial institutions.

“We're excited to announce the v2 release of the AI Governance Framework, which has been supporting the onboarding, development, and running of AI-based solutions within financial services organisations,” said Colin. “This release adds a further ten risks and associated mitigations, with a focus on Agentic AI use cases.”

The conference also saw the unveiling of a new open-source platform for workflow and decision-making. Fluxnova is a Business Process Modelling platform alternative to the likes of Camunda and Appian, which allows organisations to design process flows that the tool will then execute on the user’s behalf. It has been specifically developed to integrate with other tools commonly used by financial institutions.

“This is an important addition to the suite of tools that financial institutions have at their disposal,” said Graham Odds, Scott Logic’s Chief Growth Officer. “We strongly believe in the value of open-source software, so we’re delighted to see FINOS give companies another option, and we look forward to supporting companies who wish to migrate to Fluxnova.”
