We’re accelerating our progress towards Net Zero
3 July 2026
We have published our latest Environmental Impact Report, which documents Scott Logic’s carbon footprint in 2025, describes what we’re doing to reduce our environmental impact, and sets out our roadmap to net zero.
2025 Carbon Footprint
In the calendar year 2025, our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from all business-related activities totalled 470 tCO₂e (Tonnes of Carbon Dioxide Equivalent), a reduction from 530 tCO₂e in 2024. Overall, we have already reduced our annual emissions by 69% from our 2021 baseline, and our per-employee intensity ratio has similarly decreased from the baseline measurement by two-thirds.
Back in 2021, we aimed to reach >50% emissions reduction across GHG Protocol Scopes 1, 2 and 3 by 2030, so we’re five years ahead of that target.
Some high-level observations about our performance include:
- Employee commuting emissions reduced during the year despite increased office attendance, reflecting greater use of lower-carbon travel options such as public transport, walking and cycling.
- Our total absolute emissions across the business reduced by 11% compared to 2024, placing us ahead of our projected net zero trajectory. The emissions intensity ratio per employee also continued to decline.
- The combination of significantly reduced emissions and increased carbon offset investments meant we were not just Carbon Neutral (ahead of our 2028 target), but actually Carbon Positive.
As well as summarising our performance in 2025, our Environmental Impact Report provides more information about our carbon offset investments and charts the milestones on Scott Logic’s journey to net zero.
