Get tailored recommendations for DORA compliance

Powered by AWS logo

Financial Services is one of the most tightly-regulated industries in the world, and the regulations are constantly evolving. The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) came into effect in January 2025, impacting over 22,000 financial institutions, with non-compliance potentially resulting in fines up to 2% of turnover.

With the AWS DORA Compliance Recommendation Tool (D-CAT), we take you through a structured assessment of your IT resilience, providing recommendations aligned to AWS best practice.

Benefits of the AWS D-CAT

Smart assessment engine

The tool contains 53 targeted compliance questions, with a semi-automated evaluation process, which can be customised to your business or set to AWS best practice recommendations.

Intelligent monitoring

You'll get access to a progress tracking dashboard, with a snapshot comparison feature, making it easy to stay on top of your project - and keep your stakeholders informed.

Leverage external expertise

The tool is only available via a small number of handpicked AWS partners, chosen for our expertise in this area, so you get the benefit of our experience to guide you through the process.

How it works

D-CAT has been developed by AWS for use via an approved AWS parter such as Scott Logic. Our expert consultants will guide you through the process:

Step 1 - Assessment

We will help you complete the assessment, covering the five DORA pillars:

  • ICT risk management
  • Incident reporting
  • Digital operational resilience testing
  • Third party risk management
  • Information sharing

Step 2 - Recommended actions

The tool will produce a number of artefacts that we will review with you:

  • Heatmap - showing your current position across the five pillars
  • Radar - highlighting your strengths and fous areas
  • Scores - detailed scoring for each area
  • Report - available as a presentation, full PDF report, summary and recommended actions log, for sharing with your stakeholders
