Gender Pay Gap Report 2022
12 July 2022
The Gender Pay Gap Report gives a high-level snapshot of pay within an organisation, showing the differences in average pay between all male and female employees, irrespective of their role or seniority. We have produced our fifth annual Gender Pay Gap Report, based on a snapshot date of 5 April 2022.
Gender Pay is distinctly different from Equal Pay and should not be confused with it. Equal Pay relates to the requirement to pay both men and women the same for equal work. Our approach to pay is gender-neutral, and we are confident that men and women are paid equally for doing equivalent jobs across our business.
The period covered by the report was one of strong growth on all fronts for Scott Logic, with overall headcount increasing by 29.1%. As the business has grown, so has the female proportion of our workforce; women now constitute 18.4% of the organisation, an increase from 14.4% the year before.
An important factor in attracting more women into any business is the presence of senior women role models; 27% of women in the organisation are now in top grades, compared with 21% the year before. Those women can inspire and guide the women who are just starting out in their careers, where there has also been an improvement; 24% of graduate consultant hires were women, compared to 11% in the previous period.
We know we still have a long way to go, but we’re travelling in the right direction and the pace of change will be accelerated by our new Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, part of our new, overarching Talent Strategy.
