Gary set up Scott Logic to build bespoke software for the world’s largest and most complex businesses. He holds an MSc in Parallel Computing, and is an expert in software development for financial institutions. Gary spent 17 years working in the heart of global finance, before returning to his native North East to start Scott Logic. Fuelled by his vision and direction, Scott Logic has grown to include offices in Edinburgh, Bristol and London.
Nigel is responsible for the day to day operations of the consultancy business at Scott Logic. This includes business development, marketing, engineering and delivery. Nigel has worked in IT consultancy and product businesses for over 20 years in a variety of roles, including Head of Development and Head of Delivery. Outside of work, Nigel enjoys cycling around the Yorkshire countryside, bouldering, theatre and going to gigs to indulge his questionable taste in music (mostly 80s/90s synthpop).
Colin divides his time between leading the R&D team and providing advisory consultancy to clients. Widely recognised as a thought leader, Colin has a reputation throughout development circles as an expert in mobile technologies. He has also directed the team that developed a Securities Lending System for one of the world’s most instantly recognisable banks. A published author, blogger and tech visionary, Colin still finds time to practice his considerable skills as a 7 ball juggler.
Amongst other things, Graham heads up Scott Logic’s UX Design Practice, having grown it from scratch. As well as trying to find and guide the best designers around, he maintains a hands-on, client-facing design role, creating everything from direct-to-consumer investment applications to research, trading and analysis tools. Outside of work Graham can usually be found indulging his love of music, whether that be playing in bands, going to gigs or simply having headphones glued on.

Rob leads the sales and marketing function at Scott Logic. Formerly managing director at IndigoBlue and VP of Engineering at Sila (a Reuters company), he has over 25 years’ experience delivering bespoke software solutions across a range of industries. Rob is a keen cyclist, hiker and snowboarder – anything that gets him outdoors and keeps him fit. He also has an unhealthy obsession with football, and an odd sense of humour (so he’s told).

Before joining Scott Logic in 2016, Laurence was Associate Director at Ten10 Group, a specialist software test consultancy, as well as having spent significant periods with Accenture and IBM. Delivering world-leading charting products across iOS and Android, Stuart developed his passion for product ownership and has helped to shape and deliver some of our largest projects. Beyond the day job, he can be found taking on most adventurous sports and trying to avoid rocks.

Sam studied Software Engineering at Imperial before becoming a publican. After a year out pulling pints and cooking pub grub, he moved into software development where he’s spent the last eleven years. The majority of that time has been with Scott Logic, crafting solutions for clients in a variety of sectors. Sam now leads Scott Logic’s cloud engineering practice. He’s also a keen rugby fan and you’ll often see him politely correcting a mistaken referee.
From the redesign of intricate trading platforms to the integration of agile test processes, our consultants are always stretching themselves to deliver excellent results for our clients.
