At Scott Logic, we love difficult. Our 250 UK-based consultants collaborate with some of the world's biggest enterprises, providing a pragmatic approach to software development and delivering measurable value through insightful technology advice. If you want a partner to tackle the increasingly complex software challenges faced by your organisation, we’d love to talk.
We’re incredibly proud of our consultants, and the brilliant results they achieve for our clients. Much of this comes down to our passion for technology, innovation, and doing things right.
We are trusted by our clients to solve big, business-critical challenges. We return this respect by recognising the needs and contributions of every member of the project team, and creating a delivery culture that treats every individual with the respect they deserve.
We value and encourage creativity and forward-thinking from every member of our team. Our consultants embrace complex challenges and will always push for results beyond the norm.
We always take time to understand the needs of end-users, clients and developers alike. We then use short, iterative delivery cycles and create frequent releases that deliver more informed and effective outcomes.
When a project is live, our consultants are fully immersed. We deliver and communicate clearly, listening and reacting to feedback, and always focusing on the very best client outcomes.
This culture is set by our leadership team who have years of experience building smart, people-focused, technology businesses.
Gary set up Scott Logic to build bespoke software for the world’s largest and most complex businesses. He holds an MSc in Parallel Computing, and is an expert in software development for financial institutions. Gary spent 17 years working in the heart of global finance, before returning to his native North East to start Scott Logic. Fuelled by his vision and direction, Scott Logic has grown to include offices in Edinburgh, Bristol and London.
Nigel is responsible for the day to day operations of the consultancy business at Scott Logic. This includes business development, marketing, engineering and delivery. Nigel has worked in IT consultancy and product businesses for over 20 years in a variety of roles, including Head of Development and Head of Delivery. Outside of work, Nigel enjoys cycling around the Yorkshire countryside, bouldering, theatre and going to gigs to indulge his questionable taste in music (mostly 80s/90s synthpop).
Colin divides his time between leading the R&D team and providing advisory consultancy to clients. As a result of his keen advocacy for open source software, Colin was elected onto the Board of Directors for FINOS, an industry group that promotes open source collaboration in financial services. During his time as Scott Logic, Colin has worked on a diverse range of projects, spanning mobile development, cloud architecture and migration, trading systems and research tools. A published author, blogger and passionate technology enthusiast, Colin still finds time for an eclectic mix of hobbies, including roller skating, juggling and ultramarathon running.
